Led by Head Coach Peter Wehye, competing against top talent from across the United States and beyond. After three seasons in Overtime Elite as “JellyFam,” the National Falcons return to the Grind Session in pursuit of another World Championship.

Every opportunity in life is an opportunity to build or destroy. Selfishness slowly erodes the fiber of our bonds; growing together means building together. And because greatness demands excellence, we expect it in every area of life — high character, dedicated effort, and integrity.

Our mission applies to the court as much as the classroom: inspire academic success, cultivate holistic growth, and instill faithful Christian character. Success isn’t measured simply by victory or loss.

Our History

Fifty years of Falcons.

Many of our athletes are first-generation college students. For them, OSL is the difference between affording college and not.

  1. 1942

    The Falcons take flight

    Athletics begin with the founding of the school.

  2. 1972–91

    The Booker era

    Coach George Booker — for whom our court is named — goes 318–63 and wins New York State Federation championships in 1981, 1983 and 1987. Alumni go on to Iona, St. John’s, Jacksonville, St. Francis and more.

  3. 2000s

    National schedule

    Under alumnus Oswald Cross, the Falcons take on Winchendon Prep, South Kent, Paterson Catholic and Oak Hill Academy.

  4. 2007

    A hard decision

    The economic downturn forces the program to downgrade; many promising players can’t afford tuition.

  5. 2022

    World Champions

    Rebuilt under Coach Peter Wehye, the OSL National Team wins the Grind Session World Championship.

  6. Today

    Strongest in our history

    Three teams, a national ranking, and about twenty students a year heading to college on full scholarships.
