Every student is more than their class average. Our hybrid academy model pairs in-person instruction with digital access to a global classroom while gaining real-world experience across New York City.
How it works
A hybrid academy.
Students attend in person every day. During regular academic periods they recieve in-person instruction with digital class access — and they regularly visit partner sites throughout the metro NYC area to learn about potential career paths.

Flexible academic periods combine live instruction with digitally accessible coursework so each student can move at the right pace.

Site visits to partners across the city put careers in front of students long before graduation.
Learning Pathways
Two pathways. One mission.
Pathway 01
Student-Athletics
Holistic development of spirit, mind, and body within a nationally ranked program. About twenty students a year go on to colleges and universities on full scholarships.
- Middle School, Regional & National teams
- Academic schedule built around training and travel
- College placement support
Pathway 02
Student-Vocational
For students not in athletics: a flexible curriculum with internships multiple times a week, focused on real interests and real working environments.
- Current internships: law firms, insurance firms, school offices, non-profits
- Coming within three years: media, film, medical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing
- Paths to college or skilled trades
Diploma Requirements
Finish strong.
To earn a diploma from Our Saviour Lutheran School, students complete all required coursework under our Academic Policies with a minimum overall GPA of 70%, and complete their community service hours.
- 8th grade (HS preparation): 5 community service hours
- High school: 32 hours total, at least 8 per academic year
- All New York State Regents exams, per state requirements
